CURRICULUM ASSISTANT WANTED!

 

Speech Time Fun, Inc is looking for a motivated and creative team player who is ready and willing to jump in and help out with the creation of speech-language pathology materials for older speech students (grades 4-12). If this sounds right up your alley,  this position is for you!

 

As our Curriculum Assistant, you will work to ensure our members receive engaging and easy to use materials they can use right away with their speech students. In this role, you will have a direct impact on the resources we create.  

 

This is a remote contractor position requiring approximately 10 hours of work per week with the potential to grow in the future. As we grow, you can grow too!

 

An applicant must be able to collaborate and provide input during the resource development process.  Applicants must be able to write passages and design resources as well. You must be able to review created resources and check for quality, design, and accuracy.

Your Role at STF:

  • Writing fiction and nonfiction passages at varied designated reading levels and lengths that are appropriate for older students yet simplified for speech-language students
  • Create comprehension questions and answer keys
  • Creating digital versions of resources (Boom & Google Slide) and PDF versions using our design formats/templates

  • Editing resources, updating past resources, and correcting errors/mistakes 
  • Supporting CEO in the development of new resources
  • Reviewing resources for quality, design, and accuracy

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Knowledge of speech-language pathology,  special education, or ELA
  • Familiarity with Lexile/reading levels

  • Familiarity and experience writing various comprehension question types
  • Experience creating resources in PowerPoint

  • Experience creating in Google Slides
  • Experience creating Boom Cards
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • An eye for design and ability to match the CEO's style and vision
  • A strong grasp of the English language and write creatively
  • Applicant does not have a TPT store

Hours and Compensation:

  • Expected 10 hours per week

  • Compensation is $25 per hour
