What is Speech Retreat?
Speech Retreat was created because we wanted a place where SLPs can learn and have fun while walking away with practical therapy ideas. We are in the trenches too and know how overwhelming it can be to be a school-based SLP.
We have so many responsibilities from data collection, evaluations, lesson planning, behavior management, billing, and more. We want to be able to share what works in our therapy rooms so that you can be refreshed and have tons of ideas to bring back to yours.
If you have been feeling burned out and overwhelmed by the SLP life, come to the virtual Speech Retreat to help re-charge and re-discover what you love about the profession.

Meet your host!
Hallie Sherman
Hallie Sherman M.S. CCC-SLP is a full time, school-based SLP from NY. I have experience working with students preschool through high school. I realized early on in my career that I had to find ways to make lesson planning easier so that I can leave work at work, spend more time with my children, yet still execute fun and engaging lessons that will help my students work towards their IEP goals. I am here to help you realize that you too can plan with ease and have your students always wondering what awesomeness you will present them each and every day! Hallie is the creator behind the blog and TpT store Speech Time Fun, podcast host of SLP Coffee Talk, and the creator of the membership site for resources for older speech students called SLP Elevate.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we began going virtual in 2020. Learn from SLPs actually working in the field. Walk away with practical ideas and resources that you can use over and over. Spend the day with like-minded SLPs that "get it!" If you want to learn the way you would like to teach your students, in a virtual, laid-back, and relaxing environment? This workshop is for you!
This workshop is unlike ANY other workshop! This won't be your typical PD that shares tons of research that you cannot apply. You will walk away with ideas that you can use throughout the school year! You'll be refreshed and recharged, so take a day just for you!

*CMH hours = not CEUs! Speech Retreat is not accredited by ASHA but does meet all requirements for CMH hours. Visit ASHA's website to see their statement on acceptance on CMH hours. This would be double the price if it was CEU's. ASHA's fees are crazy expensive, ya'll. You can use these hours but they won't be submitted to the CEU registry.
